Vidimus was sorry to learn of the loss to Parkinson’s Disease of Dr Sandra L. Tatman, former executive director of The Athenaeum of Philadelphia. Dr Tatman held a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Delaware and both an M.L.S. and M.A. in Art History and Library Science from the University of Oregon. She taught art and architectural history at several universities, including Widener University, University of Delaware, and Towson University in Maryland, where she was a tenured professor and served as the Faculty Assistant to the Chair of the Art Department. She will be known to the stained glass community as co-author, with Jean Farnsworth, of an article on Nicola D’Ascenzo and his studio in the 2016 issue of the Journal of Stained Glass, and was also a contributor to Stained Glass in Catholic Philadelphia (2002).
