Although the early Christian period in Ireland has been the subject of much scholarly interest, the later medieval period has been relatively neglected. This newly published volume redresses that imbalance with a multi-disciplinary approach that draws on international scholarship to place Ireland in its wider context. In addition to wall paintings, manuscripts, vestments and reliquaries, there is a chapter on stained glass: a subject that has remained completely unknown for the region until now. The book is available through the publisher’s website.
