Welcome to our August issue, which takes us to medieval Poland and to eighteenth-century London.

Art historian Ewa Lapa tells us about this month’s panel, a rare survival of a once popular image – an Apocalyptic vision of the Virgin Mary – from a church in southern Poland.

Our feature is provided by doctoral student Joanna Cobb, who brings to life the ‘exhibition culture’ of Georgian London, in which the talents of glass-painters could thrive.

And don’t miss our News listings, which include details of some fantastic new exhibitions in Germany and a wonderful new website about stained glass in Wales.

Enjoy the summer. Vidimus returns in October.
