Editorial
Welcome to October’s issue of Vidimus, which focuses on John Dolbel Le Couteur (1883–1925), an early scholar of stained glass in England. He was the author of several books and articles about stained glass published in the 1920s and a key figure in the conservation of some of the most important medieval glazing schemes in the UK, appears this issue in our Feature, and is the subject of fourth article in our occasional series profiling pioneering scholars of stained glass in the United Kingdom. Our Books page is also given over to a list of his publications and papers.
In the News section we bring you details of forthcoming events in York and Ely, and updates on recent conservation projects.
